Winners of the Queens Award for Enterprise – International Trade 2020
We are delighted to announce that The Queen has approved the Prime Ministers recommendation that John King Chains be awarded the coveted Queens Award for Enterprise – International Trade 2020. The official announcement quite aptly coincides with the Queen’s Birthday on 21st April.
The evaluation process is rigorous and it is necessary to demonstrate a substantial and increasing level of export business over an extended period as well as demonstrating an understanding of the special nature and mechanics of more challenging Export markets.
Today John King Chains export mechanical handling equipment to over 60 countries including 22 of the 54 members of the Commonwealth. Her majesty the Queen has served as leader of the Commonwealth of Nations since 1952 as the “symbol of their free association” and it is an organisation that she has supported unstintingly throughout her reign.
Over the last decade John Kings has seen unprecedented success in the development of export markets and has become a very effective manufacturing organisation with the Head Office and principal production in Great Britain, but with subsidiary operations in Africa, Asia Pacific, Central Europe, North America and South America. The 2020 business is a lean and focused enterprise employing best production techniques.
